Custom Decal Creator
+ Click here to learn how to use this
Here you can create your own vinyl decal or sticker by uploading an image from your computer. The first step is to choose an image that will be able to be converted to a format to cut out, and still be recognizable. It looks at the individual pixels in the image (what is a pixel?), and looks to see how dark it is. The darker colors get changed to black, and the lighter colors get changed to white. That way we have a clear distiction of what to cut out. Below is an example of a good picture that was uploaded.

What we will cut out is in the final picture. It is all black and white, and isn't at all grainy. Note that just because it is black doesn't mean that is the color you have to get. It is just the easiest color to work with when generating the decal.
Now that you have seen a good example, we'll show you a bad example

In this picture, you can see that it gets converted to grayscale first, and then as you change the contrast, it will go towards all black and all white. The darker gray pixels turn black, and the lighter ones turn white. So in the end there is nothing good to cut out. So please be wise in your image selection, or edit the image first using an imaging program.
The graininess is also a bad thing, since we don't want to cut out every grain. The way to fix this is to first edit this in an imaging program. A good free is called Paint.NET, and it can be downloaded here. What you will do is make the specs disappear by erasing them, and you can paint in the gaps with any dark color. It may look ugly, but as you play around with it and try the pictures on this page, you'll get the hang of it. If you have any questions at all, EMAIL US!!!
