We price our items by charging per square inch. We take the total width and height that the product will be, find the area, and charge $0.10 per square inch. It isn't the total amount of vinyl used for your lettering or decal, but it is the square box that surrounds the product. And to be fair, we don't leave any extra padding around the product. We go right up to the edge. You can see the below image for an example.
